The product family delivers high strength, excellent thermal-shock stability, and high-temperature spalling resistance, providing reliable insulation cover for the Iron Runner and Slag Through.
The Castables for Runner Cover product family is offered in three TGG grades (CH-TGG50, CH-TGG55, and CH-TGG65) covering an alumina content range of 50% to 65%. The CH-TGG50 grade is the alumina baseline grade optimized for the Slag Through Cover. The CH-TGG55 grade targets the Branch Through Cover with elevated alumina content. The CH-TGG65 grade is the highest-alumina workhorse grade for the main Iron Runner Cover, which is the harshest thermal-cycling zone of the cast house operation.
