Our Al2O3-SiC-C Brick for Iron Ladle is a high-performance carbon-containing brick engineered for iron ladle sidewall, slag line, and bottom lining service. The product family is manufactured from high-quality bauxite, fused corundum, pyrophyllite, flake graphite, and SiC as the main raw materials, bonded by phenolic resin with composite antioxidant agent. After being mixed, high-pressure pressed, and low temperature heat treated, the product family shows excellent slag erosion resistance, thermal shock resistance, abrasion resistance, and good performance for iron ladle service.
The Al2O3-SiC-C Brick for Iron Ladle product family is offered in four engineering-proven ASCL chemistry grades. The CH-ASCL14 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 55% and SiC+C content minimum 14% for iron ladle sidewall service. The CH-ASCL16 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 60% and SiC+C content minimum 16% for iron ladle sidewall service. The CH-ASCL18A grade features Al2O3 content minimum 60% and SiC+C content minimum 18% for iron ladle slag line and bottom service. The CH-ASCL18B grade features Al2O3 content minimum 65% and SiC+C content minimum 18% for iron ladle slag line and bottom service. All four grades deliver Bulk Density minimum 2.55 to 2.75 g/cm³ after 200 °C curing for 24 hours, Apparent Porosity maximum 8% to 10%, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 35 to 40 MPa after 200 °C curing for 24 hours, and Permanent Linear Change 0 to +1.0 percent after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours.
