Products Overview

Our Hot Repairing Mix is a granular hot repair refractory product engineered for ladle bottom and sidewall lining service. CH Refractories can supply both carbon contained and carbon-free repairing mixes. The carbon contained repairing mix is characterized with good flowability, good adhesion, and long service life, while the carbon-free repairing mix offers more environment-friendly formulation with shorter sintering time and better flowability.

The Hot Repairing Mix product family is offered in four engineering-proven DDB chemistry grades. The CH-DDB78 grade (MgO-C based) features magnesia content minimum 78% and carbon content 5%-7% for carbon-contained ladle hot repair service. The CH-DDB65 grade (MgO based) features magnesia content minimum 65% and carbon content 5%-7% for general ladle hot repair service. The CH-DDB85 grade (MgO based) features magnesia content minimum 85% for higher-magnesia ladle hot repair. The CH-DDB92 grade (MgO based) features magnesia content minimum 92% for high-magnesia ladle hot repair service.

Sourced from our Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan, China facility, each Hot Repairing Mix grade is engineered to ASTM, GB/T, and ISO refractory standards. Product Applications

Hot Repairing Mix is a granular hot repair refractory product manufactured from high-quality magnesia and magnesia-calcia based raw materials with appropriate binding system, engineered for ladle bottom and sidewall hot repair service. CH Refractories can supply both carbon contained and carbon-free repairing mixes. The carbon contained repairing mix shows good flowability, good adhesion, and long service life, while the carbon-free repairing mix offers more environment-friendly formulation with shorter sintering time and better flowability.

Application Industry: Refractories for the Steel Industry and the broader Metallurgical Industry.

Target Equipment: Ladle Bottom and Sidewall Lining of small, medium-size, and large ladles in steelmaking operations.

Specific Application Zones: The CH-DDB78 grade (MgO-C based, magnesia content minimum 78%, carbon content 5%-7%) is the carbon-contained workhorse for ladle bottom and sidewall hot repair service. The CH-DDB65 grade (MgO based, magnesia content minimum 65%, carbon content 5%-7%) is the carbon-contained variant for general ladle hot repair. The CH-DDB85 grade (MgO based, magnesia content minimum 85%) is the higher-magnesia carbon-free variant for ladle hot repair. The CH-DDB92 grade (MgO based, magnesia content minimum 92%) is the high-magnesia carbon-free variant for demanding ladle hot repair service. All four grades deliver bulk density minimum 2.2 to 2.6 g/cm³ depending on grade after 800 °C firing for 0.5 hours.
