Our Light weight gunning mix is a high-performance refractory product engineered for industrial furnace insulation lining and working lining service. These products can be installed by gunning or painting, and characterized with easy installation, good adhesion, low rebound, high strength and good thermal insulation for industrial furnace service.

The Light weight gunning mix product family is offered in three engineering-proven QP chemistry grades. The CH-QP0.7 grade features Bulk Density 0.75±0.1 g/cm3 for general industrial furnace insulation service, with Cold Crushing Strength minimum 2 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 2 MPa after 800 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change -1.0 to 0 percent after 800 °C firing for 3 hours, Thermal Conductivity maximum 0.30 W/m.k at 800 °C hot side, and Application for Insulation Lining. The CH-QP1.0 grade features Bulk Density 1.1±0.1 g/cm3 for higher-demand industrial furnace insulation service, with Cold Crushing Strength minimum 4 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 4 MPa after 1000 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change -0.5 to 0 percent after 1000 °C firing for 3 hours, Thermal Conductivity maximum 0.38 W/m.k at 800 °C hot side, and Application for Insulation Lining and Working Lining. The CH-QP1.4 grade features Bulk Density 1.5±0.1 g/cm3 for highest-demand industrial furnace insulation service, with Cold Crushing Strength minimum 6 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 6 MPa after 1000 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change -0.5 to 0 percent after 1000 °C firing for 3 hours, Thermal Conductivity maximum 0.54 W/m.k at 800 °C hot side, and Application for Insulation Lining and Working Lining.

The CH-QP1.0 grade (Bulk Density 1.1±0.1 g/cm3) is the higher-demand variant for industrial furnace insulation lining and working lining service, with Cold Crushing Strength minimum 4 MPa, Thermal Conductivity maximum 0.38 W/m.k, and Application for Insulation Lining and Working Lining. The CH-QP1.4 grade (Bulk Density 1.5±0.1 g/cm3) is the highest-demand variant for industrial furnace insulation lining and working lining service, with Cold Crushing Strength minimum 6 MPa, Thermal Conductivity maximum 0.54 W/m.k, and Application for Insulation Lining and Working Lining. Permanent Linear Change is -0.5 to -1.0 percent after 800-1000 °C firing for 3 hours depending on grade. Thermal Conductivity is maximum 0.30 to 0.54 W/m.k at 800 °C hot side depending on grade.
