Our Low-cement castable is a high-performance refractory castable product engineered for industrial furnace preheat area and heating area lining service. This new generation of products is developed with high quality mullite and bauxite as the main raw material by adding proper corundum, compound ultra-fine powders and efficient dispersion additives, and characterized with good performance at high temperature as well as high strength, low porosity and low thermal insulation for industrial furnace service.

The Low-cement castable product family is offered in five engineering-proven LCJ chemistry grades. The CH-LCJ50 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 50% for general demand industrial furnace service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.3 g/cm3 after 110 °C drying for 24 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 30 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 40 MPa after 1300 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 0.5 percent after 1300 °C firing for 3 hours, Water Requirement 6-7 percent, and Maximum Service Temperature 1350 °C. The CH-LCJ60 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 60% for higher-demand industrial furnace service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.35 g/cm3, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 35 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 40 MPa after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 0.5 percent after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Water Requirement 6-7 percent, and Maximum Service Temperature 1400 °C. The CH-LCJ65 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 65% for high-demand industrial furnace service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.40 g/cm3, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 35 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 45 MPa after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 0.5 percent after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Water Requirement 6-7 percent, and Maximum Service Temperature 1400 °C. The CH-LCJ70 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 70% for high-demand industrial furnace service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.50 g/cm3, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 40 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 45 MPa after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 0.5 percent after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Water Requirement 6-7 percent, and Maximum Service Temperature 1400 °C. The CH-LCJ75 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 75% for highest-demand industrial furnace service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.60 g/cm3, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 40 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 50 MPa after 1500 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 0.5 percent after 1500 °C firing for 3 hours, Water Requirement 6-7 percent, and Maximum Service Temperature 1500 °C.
