Our Refractory cement is a high-performance refractory raw material product engineered for refractory castable binder, industrial furnace lining, and high temperature joints service. Refractory cement, also known as aluminate cement, is a kind of cement which is made from bauxite and limestone. Aluminate cement is often yellow or brown, but also gray. The main minerals of aluminate cement are calcium aluminate (CaO·Al2O3, CA) and other aluminate, as well as a small amount of calcium silicate (2 CaO·SiO2). The color is mostly grey and white for refractory product manufacturing service.
The Refractory cement product family is offered in four engineering-proven chemistry grades. The A600 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 50% for general refractory castable binder service, with SiO2 content maximum 7.8 percent, Fe2O3 content maximum 2.5 percent, R2O content maximum 0.4 percent, S content maximum 0.1 percent, Cl content maximum 0.1 percent, Specific Surface minimum 300 m2/kg, Setting Time initial minimum 45 minutes and final maximum 360 minutes, Cold Modulus of Rupture minimum 6 MPa at 24 hour and 7 MPa at 72 hour, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 45 MPa at 24 hour and 55 MPa at 72 hour. The A700 grade features Al2O3 content 50-60% for higher-demand refractory castable binder service, with SiO2 content maximum 7.5 percent, Fe2O3 content maximum 2.5 percent, R2O content maximum 0.4 percent, S content maximum 0.1 percent, Cl content maximum 0.1 percent, Specific Surface minimum 320 m2/kg, Setting Time initial minimum 60 minutes and final maximum 360 minutes, Cold Modulus of Rupture minimum 6.5 MPa at 24 hour and 7.5 MPa at 72 hour, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 55 MPa at 24 hour and 65 MPa at 72 hour. The A900 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 53.5% for high-demand refractory castable binder service, with SiO2 content maximum 5.5 percent, Fe2O3 content maximum 2.5 percent, R2O content maximum 0.4 percent, S content maximum 0.1 percent, Cl content maximum 0.1 percent, d50 11-14 µm, -45µm maximum 8.0 percent, Specific Surface minimum 350 m2/kg, Setting Time initial minimum 90 minutes and final maximum 360 minutes, Cold Modulus of Rupture minimum 8 MPa at 24 hour and 10 MPa at 72 hour, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 72 MPa at 24 hour and 82 MPa at 72 hour. The CA-70 grade features Al2O3 content 68.5-70.5% for highest-demand refractory castable binder service, with SiO2 content maximum 0.5 percent, Fe2O3 content maximum 0.2 percent, CaO content 28.5-30.5 percent, MgO content maximum 0.4 percent, R2O content maximum 0.4 percent, Setting Time initial 120-180 minutes and final 150-240 minutes, Cold Modulus of Rupture 7.5-10 MPa at 24 hour and 10-12 MPa at 72 hour, Cold Crushing Strength 40-50 MPa at 24 hour and 45-55 MPa at 72 hour.
