These castables are produced by Zhengzhou caihua using corundum and mullite as the main materials by adding compound ultra-fine powders, and characterized with high strength, excellent slag and abrasion resistance, and good thermal shock resistance for industrial furnace service.
The Slag and abrasion resistant castable for furnace bottom product family is offered in three engineering-proven BLN chemistry grades. The CH-BLN70 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 70% for general industrial furnace bottom service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.25 g/cm3 after 110 °C drying for 24 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 40 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 65 MPa after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 0.5 percent after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Water Requirement 6-7 percent, and Maximum Service Temperature 1400 °C. The CH-BLN75 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 75% for higher-demand industrial furnace bottom service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.65 g/cm3, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 40 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 70 MPa after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 0.5 percent after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Water Requirement 6-7 percent, and Maximum Service Temperature 1400 °C.
