The Steel fiber-reinforced wear-resistant castable is prepared by adding special grade aluminum bauxite clinker or corundum as aggregate and powder, adding binder, admixture and heat-resistant stainless steel fiber. The Steel fiber-reinforced castable has the characteristics of highcompressive strength, high flexural strength, thermal shock resistance, wear resistance and volume stability, with stable quality and good engineering performance for industrial furnace service.
The Steel fiber-reinforced wear-resistant castable product family is offered in three engineering-proven NMJZ chemistry grades. The CH-NMJZ75 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 75% for general industrial furnace service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.7 g/cm3, Modulus of Rupture minimum 16 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 18 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 3 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 70 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 90 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 3 hours, Normal Wear maximum 8 cm3, and Thermal Shock Resistance minimum 20 cycles at 900 °C water cooling. The CH-NMJZ80 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 80% for higher-demand industrial furnace service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.8 g/cm3, Modulus of Rupture minimum 18 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 20 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 3 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 80 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 100 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 3 hours, Normal Wear maximum 8 cm3, and Thermal Shock Resistance minimum 20 cycles at 900 °C water cooling.
