Magnesia Carbon Brick for Steel Industry
Application Industry: Refractories for Steel Industry
Application Equipment: Ladle Lining and Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Working Layer
Size: Standard brick geometry per ladle or EAF working lining design (custom sizes available on request)
Products Overview
Our Magnesia Carbon Brick is a magnesia-carbon refractory brick engineered for Ladle lining and Electric Arc Furnace working layer service. The product family is manufactured from high-purity large crystal magnesite and high-purity flake graphite as the main raw materials, by resin binding with composite antioxidant and high-pressure molding, showing low porosity, high strength, excellent resistance against slag, good thermal shock resistance, and good performances.
The Magnesia Carbon Brick product family is offered in four engineering-proven MT chemistry grades. The CH-MT14A grade features magnesia content minimum 76% and carbon content minimum 14% for high-carbon ladle working lining service. The CH-MT14B grade features magnesia content minimum 74% and carbon content minimum 14% for standard ladle working lining service. The CH-MT10A grade features magnesia content minimum 80% and carbon content minimum 10% for general ladle working lining service. The CH-MT5A grade features magnesia content minimum 85% and carbon content minimum 5% for lower-carbon EAF working lining service.
Sourced from our Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan, China facility, each Magnesia Carbon Brick grade is engineered to ASTM, GB/T, and ISO refractory standards. The product family shows low porosity, high strength, excellent resistance against slag, good thermal shock resistance, and good performances. Different MT grades can be selected for slag line, hot spot zone, and tapping-hole service based on smelting conditions.
Application Industry: Refractories for the Steel Industry and the broader Metallurgical Industry.
Target Equipment: Ladle Lining and Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Working Layer of small, medium-size, and large ladles and EAFs.
Specific Application Zones: The CH-MT14A grade (magnesia content minimum 76%, carbon content minimum 14%) is the high-carbon workhorse for ladle working lining service. The CH-MT14B grade (magnesia content minimum 74%, carbon content minimum 14%) is the standard high-carbon variant for ladle working lining. The CH-MT10A grade (magnesia content minimum 80%, carbon content minimum 10%) is the mid-carbon variant for general ladle working lining service. The CH-MT5A grade (magnesia content minimum 85%, carbon content minimum 5%) is the lower-carbon variant for EAF working lining service. All four grades deliver Apparent Porosity maximum 6%, Bulk Density minimum 2.90 g/cm³, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 30 MPa, and High Temperature Bending Strength minimum 5 MPa at 1400 °C for 30 minutes.
