Products Overview

Our Low Carbon Corundum-Spinel Brick is a corundum-spinel refractory brick engineered for ladle sidewall and bottom working layer service. The product family is manufactured from fused alumina, magnesium aluminate spinel, fused MgO, and graphite as the main raw materials, by pressing and low temperature heat treatment, featuring high strength, better corrosion resistance, and excellent thermal shock resistance. The product is mainly used in the bottom and sidewall for low and ultra-low carbon steel production.

The Low Carbon Corundum-Spinel Brick product family is offered in three engineering-proven LMT chemistry grades. The CH-LMT80 grade features alumina content minimum 80% and magnesia content minimum 5% for general ladle sidewall and bottom working layer service. The CH-LMT85 grade features alumina content minimum 85% and magnesia content minimum 4% for higher-alumina ladle sidewall and bottom working layer service. The CH-LMT88 grade features alumina content minimum 88% and magnesia content minimum 3% for high-alumina ladle sidewall and bottom working layer service. All three grades deliver carbon content maximum 5%, apparent porosity maximum 8%, bulk density minimum 2.90 to 3.00 g/cm³, and cold crushing strength minimum 35 to 45 MPa.

Sourced from our Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan, China facility, each Low Carbon Corundum-Spinel Brick grade is engineered to ASTM, GB/T, and ISO refractory standards.
