Products Overview

Our Fused zirconium corundum products, also known as AZS brick, is a high-performance refractory product engineered for glass industry furnace lining service. Zirconium corundum brick is also named AZS brick. It is based on three chemical components of the Al2O3-ZrO2-SiO2 ternary phase diagram. It is arranged according to the order of its contents. Al2O3 takes A, ZrO2 takes Z, and SiO2 takes S. The national standard uses this abbreviation. The product has high strength, high compression resistance, thermal shock resistance, erosion resistance, and good thermal conductivity, with stable quality and good engineering performance.

The Fused zirconium corundum products product family is offered in three engineering-proven AZS chemistry grades (33#, 36#, and 41# AZS standards). The AZS33-Y grade (33# AZS standard) features ZrO2 content 32-36 percent and SiO2 content maximum 16 percent for general glass industry furnace lining service, with Bulk Density minimum 3.75 g/cm3, Apparent Porosity maximum 1.5 percent, Static Anti-corrosion Rate of Glass Liquid (normal soda-lime glass, 1500 °C × 36h) maximum 1.50 mm/24h, Exudation Temperature of Vitreous Phase minimum 1400 °C, Bubble Precipitation Rate maximum 2.0 percent, and Vitreous Phase Seepage Amount maximum 2.0 percent. The AZS36-Y grade (36# AZS standard) features ZrO2 content 35-40 percent and SiO2 content maximum 14 percent for higher-demand glass industry furnace lining service, with Bulk Density minimum 3.80 g/cm3, Apparent Porosity maximum 1.0 percent, Static Anti-corrosion Rate of Glass Liquid maximum 1.40 mm/24h, Bubble Precipitation Rate maximum 1.5 percent, and Vitreous Phase Seepage Amount maximum 3.0 percent. The AZS41-Y grade (41# AZS standard) features ZrO2 content 40-44 percent and SiO2 content maximum 13 percent for highest-demand glass industry furnace lining service, with Bulk Density minimum 3.95 g/cm3, Apparent Porosity maximum 1.0 percent, Static Anti-corrosion Rate of Glass Liquid maximum 1.30 mm/24h, Bubble Precipitation Rate maximum 1.0 percent, and Vitreous Phase Seepage Amount maximum 3.0 percent.
