The Monolithic Castables for Ladle Safety Layer product family is offered in five engineering-proven J and JZ chemistry grades. The CH-J-65 grade features alumina content minimum 65% for small-and medium-size ladle permanent lining. The CH-JZ70 grade features alumina content minimum 70% for medium-size ladle permanent lining. The CH-JZ75 grade features alumina content minimum 75% for medium-size ladle permanent lining. The CH-JZ80 grade features alumina content minimum 80% for medium-and large-size ladle permanent lining. The CH-JZ85 grade features alumina content minimum 85% for large-size ladle permanent lining service.

The product family features good workability on site casting, high strength, high volume stability, and long life span. The product can be used for the permanent lining of ladle of all sizes, proven to be better on service life and safe steelmaking operation.

Target Equipment: Ladle Permanent Lining Safety Layer of small, medium-size, and large ladles in steelmaking operations.
Specific Application Zones: The CH-J-65 grade (alumina content minimum 65%) is the standard variant for small-and medium-size ladle permanent lining. The CH-JZ70 grade (alumina content minimum 70%) and CH-JZ75 grade (alumina content minimum 75%) are the mid-alumina variants for medium-size ladle permanent lining. The CH-JZ80 grade (alumina content minimum 80%) and CH-JZ85 grade (alumina content minimum 85%) are the high-alumina workhorses for medium-and large-size ladle permanent lining. All five grades deliver Bulk Density minimum 2.40 to 2.85 g/cm³ depending on grade after 110 °C curing for 24 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 35 to 45 MPa after 110 °C curing and minimum 45 to 60 MPa after 1500 °C firing, with Permanent Linear Change ±0.5 percent after 1500 °C firing for 3 hours. Water demand for casting is 6%-7% for mid-alumina grades and 5%-6% for high-alumina grades.
