Our Sillimanite brick is a high-performance refractory product engineered for metallurgy, machinery, ceramics, and chemical industry kiln lining and insulation layer service. The sillimanite brick is mainly composed of sillimanite, andalusite and sintered mullite. Some ultrafine powders and binders are added, and the product is obtained by high-pressure molding at a reasonable firing temperature. The product has the characteristics of low porosity, high strength, good thermal shock resistance and so on. This series of products adopts high-purity raw materials and unique production process to minimize the influence of impurities and structural defects on the performance of the product. It has excellent high temperature volume stability and thermal shock stability, high strength and low thermal conductivity. It has wide adaptability to various furnace types and various environments. It can be used in kiln lining (not eroded by molten liquid) and insulation layer in metallurgy, machinery, ceramics, chemical industry, etc.

The Sillimanite brick product family is offered in one engineering-proven CHGX chemistry grade. The CHGX-60 grade features Al2O3 content 60-65% and SiO2 content 30-35% for general industrial kiln lining and insulation service, with Fe2O3 content maximum 1.5 percent, Apparent Porosity maximum 18 percent, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 30 MPa, Load Softening Temperature minimum 1550 °C at 0.2 MPa, Thermal Shock Resistance minimum 30 cycles at 1100 °C water cooling, and Bulk Density minimum 2.45 g/cm3. The grade adopts high-purity raw materials and unique production process for excellent high temperature volume stability and thermal shock stability for industrial kiln lining service.
