Products Overview

Our Filler for EAF Tap-Hole is a granular refractory filler product engineered for Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) tapping-hole lining service. The product family is manufactured from high-quality magnesite and Fe2O3-CaO magnesite, and shows the features of excellent resistance against steel penetration, superior erosion resistance, easily-sintering, high bulk density, and easy installation. The product is an ideal choice for HP and UHP Electric Arc Furnace bottom service.

The Filler for EAF Tap-Hole product family is offered in three engineering-proven DCT chemistry grades. The CH-DCT90 grade is a high-silica variant with silica content of 90 to 95 percent for high-temperature EAF bottom service. The CH-DCT75 grade is a mid-silica variant with silica content 75 percent or higher and magnesia content 10 percent or higher. The CH-DCT25 grade is a high-magnesia variant with magnesia content 55 percent or higher and silica content 25 percent or higher.

Sourced from our Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan, China facility, each Filler for EAF Tap-Hole grade is engineered to ASTM, GB/T, and ISO refractory standards. Application Industry: Refractories for the Steel Industry and the broader Metallurgical Industry.

Target Equipment: Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Tapping-Hole Lining of small, medium-size, large, HP, and UHP Electric Arc Furnaces.

Specific Application Zones: The CH-DCT90 grade (silica content 90 to 95 percent) is optimized for high-temperature EAF bottom service requiring excellent steel penetration resistance. The CH-DCT75 grade (silica content minimum 75 percent, magnesia content minimum 10 percent) targets intermediate-temperature EAF bottom service with balanced performance. The CH-DCT25 grade (magnesia content minimum 55 percent, silica content minimum 25 percent, Fe2O3 content 3 to 8 percent) is the high-magnesia variant for demanding HP and UHP EAF bottom service with superior erosion resistance and easily-sintering behavior. All three grades deliver standard grain size range of 2 to 6 mm for manual filler installation during EAF tapping operation.
