Products Overview
Our Taphole Refractory Brick is a magnesia-carbon refractory brick engineered for Electric Arc Furnace tapping-hole block service. The product family is manufactured from high-quality electric-fused magnesite and high-purity flake graphite as the main raw materials by high-pressure or isostatic pressing molding, offering low porosity, high strength, excellent slag erosion resistance, good thermal shock resistance, and long service life under EAF tapping conditions.
The Taphole Refractory Brick product family is offered in two engineering-proven CHDLC chemistry grades. The CHDLC-14 grade has magnesia content 78 percent or higher and carbon content 14 percent or higher for high-carbon EAF tapping-hole service. The CHDLC-10 grade has magnesia content 82 percent or higher and carbon content 10 percent or higher for lower-carbon EAF tapping-hole service. Both grades deliver apparent porosity 5 percent or lower, bulk density of 2.85 to 2.90 g/cm³, cold crushing strength 50 MPa or higher, and high-temperature bending strength of 10 to 12 MPa at 1450 °C.
Sourced from our Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan, China facility, each Taphole Refractory Brick grade is engineered to ASTM, GB/T, and ISO refractory standards.
