Products Overview
Our Gunning Mixes for EAF are refractory gunning products manufactured from electric-fused magnesia as the main raw material with composite binding additives, engineered for Electric Arc Furnace cold and hot repair lining service. The product family features high adhesive strength, low rebound rate, good sintering behavior, good erosion resistance, and is suitable as cold or hot repair material at EAF slag line and side wall positions.
The Gunning Mixes for EAF product family is offered in three engineering-proven CHDPB chemistry grades. The CHDPB-87 grade is the high-magnesia workhorse with magnesia content of 87 percent or higher and bulk density of 2.60 g/cm³ or higher. The CHDPB-75 grade is the mid-magnesia variant with magnesia content 75 percent or higher and CaO content 10 percent or lower. The CHDPB-65 grade is the high-CaO variant with magnesia content 65 percent or higher, CaO content 30 percent or lower, and bulk density of 2.30 g/cm³ or higher.
Sourced from our Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan, China facility, each Gunning Mixes for EAF grade is engineered to ASTM, GB/T, and ISO refractory standards. Application Industry: Refractories for the Steel Industry and the broader Metallurgical Industry.
Target Equipment: Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Slag Line and Side Wall Lining of small, medium-size, and large Electric Arc Furnaces.
Specific Application Zones: The CHDPB-87 grade (magnesia content 87 percent or higher) is the high-magnesia workhorse for demanding EAF slag line and side wall gunning service. The CHDPB-75 grade (magnesia content 75 percent or higher, CaO content 10 percent or lower) is the mid-magnesia variant for general EAF slag line and side wall lining service. The CHDPB-65 grade (magnesia content 65 percent or higher, CaO content 30 percent or lower) is the high-CaO variant for EAF cold and hot repair under varying slag chemistry conditions. Cold Crushing Strength reaches 15 MPa after 110 °C curing for 24 hours and 20 to 25 MPa after 1500 °C firing for 3 hours. Permanent Linear Change ranges from 0 to 1.5 percent (CHDPB-87) to -3.0 to 0 percent (CHDPB-65) at 1500 °C firing for 3 hours.
