Our Castable for DRI kiln is a high-performance refractory castable product engineered for DRI kiln preheating zone and reduction zone lining service. Low cement castables for DRI kiln produced by Zhengzhou caihua adopt low iron mullite, flint clay as the main raw material and have the properties of excellent CO erosion resistance, good thermal shock resistance and other good characteristics for DRI kiln service.

The Castable for DRI kiln product family is offered in two engineering-proven HZ chemistry grades. The CH-HZ45 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 45% and Fe2O3 content maximum 1.2% for general DRI kiln service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.3 g/cm3 after 110 °C drying for 24 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 50 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 45 MPa after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 1.0 percent after 1200 °C firing for 3 hours, CO Erosion Resistance Intact after 500 °C drying for 24 hours, Thermal Conductivity maximum 1.00 W/m.k at 800 °C hot side, Maximum Service Temperature 1200 °C, and Application for Preheating zone. The CH-HZ60 grade features Al2O3 content minimum 60% and Fe2O3 content maximum 1.2% for higher-demand DRI kiln service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.4 g/cm3, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 55 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 50 MPa after 1000 °C firing for 3 hours, Permanent Linear Change maximum 1.0 percent after 1400 °C firing for 3 hours, CO Erosion Resistance Intact after 500 °C drying for 24 hours, Thermal Conductivity maximum 1.1 W/m.k at 800 °C hot side, Maximum Service Temperature 1400 °C, and Application for Reduction zone.
