Our Zirconium corundum castable is a high-performance refractory product engineered for glass kiln bottom sealing layer, kiln wall protective layer, upper structure cold patching, heat patching, and hot repair service. The product is used for cold patching and heat patching for the safety layer, the kiln wall protective layer and the upper structure of the glass kiln bottom.
The Zirconium corundum castable product family is offered in three engineering-proven AZS chemistry grades. The AZS50V grade features Al2O3 content minimum 45% and ZrO2 content minimum 29% for glass kiln bottom sealing layer on the insulation layer service, with Bulk Density minimum 3.0 g/cm3, Modulus of Rupture minimum 11.5 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 18 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 2 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 85 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 100 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 2 hours, good Resistance to Glass Erosion, weak Bubble Precipitation Tendency, and Casting Water Requirement 4-5 percent. The AZS60L grade features Al2O3 content minimum 45% and ZrO2 content minimum 30% for the next layer of 50V bricks service (for the next layer of bricks above 50V), with Bulk Density minimum 2.65 g/cm3, SiO2 content maximum 18 percent, good Resistance to Glass Erosion, weak Bubble Precipitation Tendency, and Casting Water Requirement 8-10 percent. The AZS04J grade features Al2O3 content minimum 45% and ZrO2 content minimum 30% for filling gaps between surface bricks service, with Bulk Density minimum 2.8 g/cm3, SiO2 content maximum 18 percent, Modulus of Rupture minimum 12.1 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 18 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 2 hours, Cold Crushing Strength minimum 85 MPa after 110 °C drying for 24 hours and minimum 100 MPa after 1100 °C firing for 2 hours, good Resistance to Glass Erosion, weak Bubble Precipitation Tendency, and Casting Water Requirement 10-11 percent.
